This species is distributed in northern and southeastern China, as well as Taiwan. The larvae of Dudusa nobilis feed on the leaves of Litchi chinensis and Nephelium lappaceum. Dudusa nobilis is non-poisonous, generally harmless to humans, so there is no need for excessive concern about its potential impact on human health.
