About Duberria lutrix (Linnaeus, 1758)
Adults of Duberria lutrix, commonly known as the common slug eater, reach a total length of 30 to 40 cm, which is approximately 12 to 16 inches. The species' body color varies between individuals, but typically has an olive green to brown or russet dorsal surface, grey flanks, and a yellowish or cream ventral surface. A more or less complete black vertebral stripe runs along the back. This species is geographically distributed in Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
