About Drusa glandulosa (Poir.) H.Wolff ex Engl.

Drusa is a monotypic genus of flowering plants in the Apiaceae family, containing only one known species: Drusa glandulosa. This species is native to Macaronesia (including the Canary Islands and Madeira), Morocco, and Somalia. The genus name honors André Pierre Ledru, a 1761–1825 French clergyman and botanist. The genus was published and described by French botanist Augustin Pyramus de Candolle in 1807, in volume 10 of "Annales du Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle" on page 466. The accepted scientific name is Drusa glandulosa (Poir.) H.Wolff ex Engl., and its known synonyms are: Bowlesia glandulosa (Poir.) Kuntze, Bowlesia oppositifolia Buch, Drusa glandulosa f. glaucescens G.Kunkel, Drusa oppositifolia DC., and Sicyos glandulosus Poir.
