About Drosera spatulata var. spatulata
Drosera spatulata var. spatulata is a variable perennial carnivorous plant that forms small rosettes made of numerous spathulate-shaped leaves. While the species shows wide variation in traits, mature plants typically reach about 4 cm (1.6 inches) in total diameter. Each leaf connects to the central rosette via a narrow petiole that is 8 mm long, and only bears glandular structures on its upper half. The leaf blade (lamina) of an individual leaf is usually 5 mm long and 4 mm wide. In early summer, plants grow erect scapes that reach 8 cm (3.1 inches) in height. Each scape holds around six small white or pink flowers arranged in a one-sided racemose inflorescence, and individual flowers can grow up to 6 mm across.
