About Drosera madagascariensis DC.

Drosera madagascariensis DC. is a robust stem-forming sundew species with a clearly visible stem. Young plants grow with an upright stem. As the plant matures, it either uses its leaves to anchor itself to surrounding vegetation, or it bends over and develops a scrambling stem. This species is native to tropical Africa, including Guinea, Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo, Angola, Zambesi, and Tanganyika. Its native range extends as far south as South Africa, and east to the island of Madagascar. It grows in swamps and sphagnum bogs.
