About Drosera indica L.

Drosera indica L. is an unbranched annual herbaceous plant. It has a fibrous root system, and grows to a height between 5 and 50 cm (2 to 20 inches). Its leaves are narrowly linear, and can grow up to 10 cm (4 inches) long. Each leaf is attached to a 1 to 1.5 cm (0.4 to 0.6 inch) long pedicel. Young Drosera indica L. plants grow upright. As plants age, they develop scrambling stems, and only the newest growth maintains an upright growing habit. The whole plant can range in color from yellow-green to maroon. Its flower petals may be white, pink, orange, or purple. This species has a chromosome count of 2n=28.
