About Drimys granadensis L.fil.

Drimys granadensis L.fil. is an evergreen shrub or small tree that can reach up to 12 meters in height, and it produces large white flowers. Its distribution extends from Peru, through Ecuador, Colombia, and Venezuela, north through Central America to southern Mexico. It is a characteristic species of mature montane cloud forests in the Northern Andes, the Central American Cordillera, and the mountains of southern Mexico. In southern Mexico, it grows in cloud forests, as well as in riparian zones and well-watered ravines within humid oak forests and pine–oak forests, at elevations between 1,100 and 3,300 meters.
