About Draco sumatranus Schlegel, 1844

Draco sumatranus Schlegel, 1844 has a body length of approximately 9 cm (3.5 in), and its tail is slightly longer than its body. Its base body color is dark grey or brown, with stripes and patterns that help it camouflage against tree trunks. Males have a yellow triangular flap of skin under the chin, called the gular fold, which they use to communicate with other lizards, most often during mating. Females have a much smaller gular fold that is blue in color. This species is relatively common in forests, and also occurs in urban areas such as parks and gardens. It is found across Southeast Asia, specifically in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Palawan.
