About Draco melanopogon Boulenger, 1887

Draco melanopogon, commonly called the black-bearded gliding lizard or black-barbed flying dragon, is a species of agamid "flying lizard" that is endemic to Southeast Asia. This is typically a forest-dwelling, arboreal lizard. It preys on small invertebrates such as ants, and it is oviparous. Unlike most lizards that have dewlaps, which use both headbobbing and dewlaps to convey signals, this species is notable for relying only on dewlap-mediated communication.
