About Doriopsilla carneola (Angas, 1864)

Doriopsilla carneola is a species of nudibranch. Individuals of this species can reach a maximum length of 50 mm. The mantle color of this nudibranch ranges from translucent white to deep claret, and most individuals have a small number of white patches or spots on the mantle. The rhinophores and gills share the same color range as the mantle. This species was first described from a specimen collected at Port Jackson, New South Wales, Australia.
