About Dolomedes facetus L.Koch, 1876
Dolomedes facetus, commonly called the clever fishing spider, is a species of medium to large fishing spider that is endemic to Australia. It inhabits freshwater ponds and waterways in coastal areas, with a range spanning from Western Australia to Tasmania. It is common in northern Australia, especially in Queensland and the Northern Territory. This species has also been introduced to New Zealand, where it has become naturalised.
