About Dolichoplana striata Moseley, 1877
This species belongs to the genus Dolichoplana. All species in this genus share the following characteristics: they have a very elongated, flattened body with a creeping sole of moderate width. The anterior end of the body is rounded and slightly concave, bordered by glandular and sensory tracts, and bears two large eyes. The parenchymal longitudinal musculature is limited only to the ventral region of the body. In the copulatory apparatus, the male atrium contains a long, folded chamber and lacks a penis papilla. A prominent diverticulum opens into the common atrium through its posterior wall.
