About Dismorphia crisia (Drury, 1782)

Dismorphia crisia, commonly known as the crisia mimic white or cloud forest mimic-white, is a butterfly species that belongs to the Pieridae family. This species was first formally described by Dru Drury in 1782. Its distribution ranges from northern Central America to Bolivia and the Amazon basin. The wingspan of males of this species measures 48–53 mm (1.9–2.1 inches), while the wingspan of females is approximately 57 mm (2.2 inches). Dismorphia crisia is a very variable species. The larvae of Dismorphia crisia feed on species from the Inga and Pithecellobium genera.
