Commonly known as the white damsel, this species (scientific name Dischistodus perspicillatus (Cuvier, 1830)) has the following characteristics. Its body is mainly white or pale in color, with some black spots. This species shows very little sexual dimorphism between individuals. Mature members of the species can reach a total length of 18.0 cm, which equals 7.1 inches. All individuals of the species have 13 dorsal spines in total.
