About Dischidia formosana Maxim.

Dischidia formosana Maxim. is a plant species that belongs to the genus Dischidia. It is native to Taiwan and the Ryukyu Islands, the Japanese island chain that extends southwest from Kyushu to Taiwan. Like other members of the genus Dischidia, this species grows in a climbing habit. It produces smooth, round leaves and very small white flowers. While Dischidia formosana is not especially rare in Taiwan, it is classified as a critically endangered plant on the Japanese Red List.
