Disa obtusa Lindl. is a perennial geophyte that belongs to the genus Disa and grows within the fynbos ecosystem. This plant is endemic to the Western Cape. It has three recognized subspecies: Disa obtusa subsp. hottentotica H.P.Linder, Disa obtusa subsp. obtusa, and Disa obtusa subsp. picta (Sond.) H.P.Linder.
