Dipsas neuwiedi is a medium-sized snake species. The maximum recorded snout-to-vent length (SVL) for this species is 66 cm (26 in). It is native to southeastern Brazil. Its preferred natural habitats are forest and savanna, and it occurs at elevations ranging from sea level up to 1,450 m (4,760 ft). This species is oviparous, and its average clutch size is approximately eight eggs.
