Diplocyclos palmatus (L.) C.Jeffrey is a vine species that belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family. Its common English names are native bryony and striped cucumber. In the Marathi language, it is called shivlingi, because its seeds resemble a lingam. This vine occurs in rainforest and dry rainforest habitats, which fall under the category of tropical and subtropical dry broadleaf forests. It can also be found growing in thickets, monsoon forests, lowland and upland disturbed areas, and mountain rain forests.
