About Diplacus tricolor (Hartw. ex Lindl.) G.L.Nesom
Diplacus tricolor is an annual herb that reaches a maximum height of approximately 14 centimeters. Its oppositely arranged, lightly hairy leaves are broadly lance-shaped, and grow up to around 4.5 centimeters in length. The flower corolla can be up to 5 centimeters long, with a narrow tubular base that emerges from an uneven calyx of sepals. The wide opening of the flower is deep pink, with a blotched white and yellow throat, and a large maroon spot at the base of each of its five lobes.
