Diplacodes luminans (Karsch, 1893) is a species of dragonfly in the family Libellulidae, most commonly known by the common name barbet percher. This species is native to Central Africa, where it has a widespread distribution and is common. Diplacodes luminans individuals measure 34 to 40 millimeters in total length, with a wingspan ranging from 59 to 66 millimeters. Males of the species have a black and yellow abdomen that has a distinctive red base. Both male and female D. luminans have broad amber-colored patches at the bases of their hindwings, and six to seven antenodal crossveins. This dragonfly occupies many different types of swampy habitats.
