About Diphlebia lestoides (Selys, 1853)
Diphlebia lestoides, scientifically described as Diphlebia lestoides (Selys, 1853), is an Australian damselfly species belonging to the family Lestoideidae. Its common name is the whitewater rockmaster. This species is endemic to south-eastern Australia, and it lives in streams and rivers. Diphlebia lestoides is a large, solid-looking damselfly. Adult males range in color from blue to grey and have black markings, while adult females have more subdued, muted coloration. This damselfly perches with its white-marked wings held fully spread out.
