Diospyros fasciculosa is most commonly a medium-sized tree, though it can reach a maximum height of 30 metres (98 ft). Its fruits grow in clusters, and they are a type of persimmon. This tree species is native to Australia, Fiji, and Southeast Asia. Within Australia, its range extends from the Clarence River in New South Wales north to Bamaga, located on the Cape York Peninsula.
