Diospyros eriantha is a tree species that belongs to the Ebenaceae family. Mature individuals can grow up to 7 metres (20 feet) tall. The fruits of this species are ellipsoid in shape, black in color, and reach up to 1 centimetre (0.4 inches) in length. Its specific epithet eriantha comes from Greek, and translates to 'woolly flowers'. This species is distributed in southern China and surrounding regions, including Indochina, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Taiwan, and the Philippines.
