Dioryctria amatella, commonly known as the southern pineconeworm moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Pyralidae. This moth occurs in the southeastern United States, ranging from Maryland southward to Florida and extending west into Texas. The wingspan of adult Dioryctria amatella measures between 27 and 32 millimeters. This species produces one to four generations annually, and adult moths are in flight from early April to early November.
