Dimorphotheca fruticosa (L.) Less., 1832 is a perennial herb species. It is native to the coastal regions of South Africa. This plant is commonly called the trailing African daisy, and it also has a synonym, Osteospermum fruticosum. In New Zealand, Dimorphotheca fruticosa has been classified as a weed. It is now a widespread coastal plant there, especially across the North Island.
