About Diloma aridum (Finlay, 1926)

Diloma aridum is a species of marine snail first described by Finlay in 1926. The shell of this species reaches a maximum height of 19 mm, with a maximum diameter of 17 mm. In appearance, the snail is purplish-black with pale yellow flecks. This marine species is endemic to New Zealand’s Chatham Islands and Auckland Islands, where it lives on sheltered mid-tidal rocks.
