About Dicogaster coronada (Barnes, 1904)

Dicogaster is a genus of moths that belongs to the family Lasiocampidae. This genus was first described by William Barnes and James Halliday McDunnough in 1911. It contains only one species, Dicogaster coronada, which was originally described by Barnes in 1904. This species is found in Arizona. Its wingspan ranges from 70 to 130 mm. Adult moths are active on the wing between June and August. Larvae of this species have been successfully reared on Quercus oblongifolia and Quercus emoryi.
