About Dichondra micrantha Urb.

Dichondra micrantha, commonly known as Asian ponysfoot or lawnleaf, is a flowering plant species belonging to the Convolvulaceae family. It is native to Texas, Mexico, and the Caribbean, and has since been introduced to locations across the globe. This prostrate perennial grows to a maximum height of 10 cm (4 in), and prefers growing in wetter soils. In the past, it was recommended as a replacement for grass in lawns because it is easy to maintain, but it was later found to be vulnerable to flea beetles.
