Its confirmed distribution includes China (specifically the provinces of Shaanxi and Zhejiang), Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Russia, and multiple European countries: Spain, France, Italy, Estonia, Latvia, Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. The wingspan of adult Dichomeris rasilella ranges from 15 to 16 mm (or 0.59 to 0.63 inches). The larvae of this moth feed on Artemisia vulgaris var. orientalis, Artemisia vulgaris var. indica, Artemisia pontica, species in the genus Centaurea, and Acosta rhenana.
