About Dicerandra densiflora Benth.

Dicerandra densiflora, commonly called Florida balm, is a species of flowering plant in the mint family. It also has the additional common names scrub mint and scrub balm. This species is native to north central Florida, where it grows in sand hill habitats. It belongs to the annual subclade of the genus Dicerandra. D. densiflora can grow up to 2 feet (61 centimeters) tall. Its flower petals range in color from lavender to purple, and have dark spots.
