About Diarsia intermixta Guenée, 1852
Diarsia intermixta, commonly called the orange peel moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Noctuidae. This species has a scientific name of Diarsia intermixta Guenée, 1852. It occurs across Australia, ranging from Queensland to Tasmania, and is also present in New Zealand and islands of the south Pacific. The larvae of Diarsia intermixta feed on nettles, Sinapis alba, Arctotheca calendula, Histiopteris incisa, and Pteridium esculentum. They are regarded as a pest of Brassica rapa. Adult moths of this species fly during summer and autumn.
