About Diarsia dahlii Hübner, 1813
This species is Diarsia dahlii Hübner, 1813. Its wingspan measures 28–40 mm. Male forewings are reddish brown with an ochreous tint, while female forewings are darker purplish brown. The lines on the forewing are clearly visible on the paler males. The forewing stigmata match the surrounding ground colour. The lower lobe of the reniform stigma is dark, and its upper lobe is sometimes ochreous. The claviform stigma has a black dot at its tip, and a distinct dark median shade is present. In females, the submarginal line on the forewing is pale. The hindwing is dull fuscous, and the fringe is pinkish. Diarsia dahlii is a variable species that occurs in multiple distinct forms. The form ab. nana Stgr. from south-eastern Siberia is a dwarf form, reaching no more than half the size of the typical form.
