Diarsia canescens is a moth species that belongs to the family Noctuidae. Its distribution ranges from southern Siberia and Mongolia eastward to the Ussuri region and Sakhalin. To the south, its range extends from the Kuril Islands through China to the southern Himalayas, Taiwan, and northern Indochina. This species was recently recorded in Syria. The wingspan of Diarsia canescens measures 38 to 45 millimeters.
