About Diaphoreolis lagunae (O'Donoghue, 1926)
Diaphoreolis lagunae, commonly called the orange-face cuthona, is a species of sea slug. It is classified as an aeolid nudibranch, a type of marine gastropod mollusc that belongs to the family Trinchesiidae. This species has been documented along the Eastern Pacific coast of North America, ranging from Curry County, Oregon, United States, south to Bahía Tortugas, Mulegé Municipality, Baja California, Mexico. In its ecosystem, Diaphoreolis lagunae feeds on the hydroid Sertularella turgida, which is a member of the family Sertulariidae.
