About Dendropsophus microps (Peters, 1872)
Dendropsophus microps, commonly known as the Nova Friburgo tree frog, is a frog species that belongs to the Hylidae family. It is currently thought to be endemic to the Atlantic Forest in southern Brazil, though it may also be found in Argentina. Its natural habitats include subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, intermittent freshwater marshes, plantations, heavily degraded former forest, ponds, and canals and ditches. This species faces threats from habitat loss.
