About Dendrophylax porrectus (Rchb.f.) Carlsward & Whitten
Dendrophylax porrectus, commonly known as the jingle bell orchid or needleroot orchid, is an epiphytic orchid species. It is native to Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Florida, the Cayman Islands, Cuba, Hispaniola, Jamaica, and Puerto Rico. Many authors have referred to this species under the synonym Harrisella porrecta, including in the publication Flora of North America.
