Dendronotus rufus O'Donoghue, 1921 is a species of sea slug, specifically a dendronotid nudibranch. It is a shell-less marine gastropod mollusc that belongs to the family Dendronotidae. This species was first described based on specimens collected by dredging at depths of 22 to 38 meters. The collection sites were located between Brandon Island and Departure Bay, and also at Nanoose Bay, British Columbia. Dendronotus rufus occurs along the Pacific Ocean coast of North America, ranging from Auke Bay, Alaska to Seattle, Washington, United States.
