About Dendrolagus lumholtzi Collett, 1884
This species, commonly known as Lumholtz's tree-kangaroo, is the smallest of all tree-kangaroos. Males have an average weight of 7.2 kg (16 lbs), while females average 5.9 kg (13 lbs). Head and body length ranges from 480 to 650 mm (19 to 26 in), and tail length ranges from 600 to 740 mm (24 to 29 in). It has powerful limbs and short, grizzled grey fur, with black markings on its muzzle, toes, and the tip of its tail. Lumholtz's tree-kangaroo can live in a variety of different habitats, so long as the habitat has abundant food and stable, adaptable structural features.
