About Delphinium variegatum Torr. & A.Gray
This species is an erect wildflower that can reach a maximum height of half a meter. Its leaves have deep lobes that may overlap. The long petioles are covered in hairs. The branching inflorescence holds up to 25 widely spaced flowers. Most often the flowers are bright deep blue, but they may occasionally be lighter blue or white, with flower color varying by subspecies. The flower spur measures between one and two centimeters long.
