About Delias henningia Eschscholtz, 1821

Delias henningia, commonly known as the Malayan Jezebel, is a species of butterfly that belongs to the family Pieridae. This species was first described by Johann Friedrich von Eschscholtz in 1821. Its native range falls within the Indomalayan realm. The wingspan of this butterfly differs between sexes: males have a wingspan of around 66–78 mm, while females have a larger wingspan ranging from 80–92 mm. On the upper surface of the forewing, adult Delias henningia have a distinct colored band: this band is bluish-grey in males and white in females. The hindwings of adults feature a large yellow patch. On the underside of the forewing, the band is white for both males and females.
