About Davallia trichomanoides Blume

Davallia trichomanoides Blume, commonly called black rabbit's foot fern and squirrel foot fern, is a fern species belonging to the family Davalliaceae. This species is native to tropical Asia. Mature individuals reach a height between 15 and 45 cm. For healthy growth, this fern requires either partial or full shade, and it is tolerant of dry growing conditions. It produces pinnate leaves. Like most fern species, Davallia trichomanoides grows following the principle of apical dominance, and it can alter its main stem if the plant experiences disturbance.
