Dascyllus carneus Fischer, 1885 is a species of marine fish belonging to the family Pomacentridae. Its common vernacular names include the cloudy dascyllus and the Indian dascyllus. This species is widely distributed across tropical waters of the Indian Ocean, ranging from the eastern coast of Africa to the Java Sea. It can reach a maximum length of 7 centimetres, which is equivalent to 2.8 inches.
