About Damnamenia vernicosa (Hook.fil.) Given

Damnamenia vernicosa is a small, perennial, stoloniferous herb. It produces glossy green leaves and white daisy-shaped flowers that have dark purple centres. This species flowers from November through January, and fruits from December through March. It is endemic to the subantarctic Auckland and Campbell Islands of New Zealand. Its preferred habitats are upland cushion bogs and herbfields dominated by Pleurophyllum. It also grows at lower elevations in exposed, sparsely vegetated sites.
