About Dalea formosa Torr.

Dalea formosa Torr. is a semi-evergreen flowering plant species in the genus Dalea. It has the common names feather dalea and featherplume, and is named for physician Samuel Dale. This plant is native to the southern United States. It is highly tolerant of heat, cold, and drought. Honeybees favor this plant, but it has much less use to most wildlife, with the exceptions of rabbits and deer. Unlike most plants, it blooms year-round when monsoon rainfall occurs, and it also has a long lifespan.
