Dalea carnea (Michx.) Poir. is a flowering plant species, which is commonly called pink tassels. It is also known by the common names whitetassels and pink prairie clover. This common name refers to the species' small pink-to-white flowers. It is a perennial herb that belongs to the legume family, Fabaceae. The native range of this species is limited to the Atlantic Coastal Plain of the southeastern United States, extending from central Georgia south into peninsular Florida. It grows naturally in habitats including mesic flatwoods, open meadows, and pine rocklands.
