Cystodermella granulosa is a mushroom with a reddish-brown cap that measures 2 to 5 centimeters across. Small fragments of veil tissue sometimes hang down from the edge of its cap. Its stipe (stem) grows 3 to 7.5 centimeters tall and 0.3 to 0.6 centimeters wide, and it is covered in scales. This mushroom produces a white spore print.
