Cyrtepistomus castaneus, commonly known as the Asiatic oak weevil, is a species of Asian broad-nosed weevil that belongs to the beetle family Curculionidae. The species is native to Asia, and was first recorded in North America in 1933. In its life cycle, larvae of this weevil feed on root hairs within soil, while adult beetles act as defoliators that feed on Quercus trees and Acer rubrum trees.
