Cyrtaspis scutata, first described by Charpentier in 1825, is a species of bush cricket that belongs to the subfamily Meconematinae and the tribe Meconematini. This species is brachypterous, and it is known as "Le Méconème scutigère" in French. This species occurs in southern Europe, including France, Italy, Sicily, Spain, Portugal, Corsica, Croatia, Sardinia, Slovenia, and the Azores. It is also present in the Netherlands, near the city of Amersfoort, where populations have successfully reproduced since at least 2016.
