Cypripedium yatabeanum Makino, commonly called spotted lady slipper or palomino lady's slipper, is a terrestrial orchid species belonging to the family Orchidaceae. This species is native to Alaska, including the Aleutian Islands, the Russian Far East covering Kamchatka and the Kuril Islands, and northern Japan. It is a perennial herb that can grow up to 2 feet (0.61 meters) tall. It can be distinguished from the closely related species Cypripedium guttatum by its yellow-green flowers and its narrower, longer lip. Its natural habitats include mesic tundra, marsh borders, and beach dune lag.
