About Cyclophora obstataria (Walker, 1861)

This moth species, Cyclophora obstataria (Walker, 1861), has a wingspan of approximately 26–30 mm. On the hind tibia of male individuals, the inner medial spur is missing, and the mid tibia of males is not hairy. In this species, veins 5, 6, and 7 of the forewings are not distorted, and the inner area of the male forewing also remains undistorted. The moth’s overall body coloration is pale pinkish-rufous. Its frons is pale, with a pink region above the frons. Every wing has faint traces of a series of antemedial specks, and a distinct discocellular speck is present on each wing. Faint traces of a waved postmedial line and a series of submarginal specks can also be observed on the wings. The ventral side of the moth is pale in color.
